Hi, I’m Teagan — children’s author, historical novelist, and lifelong daydreamer. I live in Victoria with the bush at my back door. You’ll usually find me writing at the kitchen table with a big, hairy dog at my feet (or on my lap if she can manage it), a mug of tea that’s far too milky to be respectable, and birds chattering outside the window.

I write stories about animals, family, and finding where you belong. Whether it’s a picture book or a windswept historical novel, my books follow ordinary people discovering courage and a place to call home.

When I’m not writing, I’m usually in the garden, chasing after kids, or dreaming about one day living on a small or maybe not so small, patch of land with fruit trees, chickens, ducks, and enormous wildlife gardens — and possibly a goat I’ve trained to pull a cart.
